2025 Rotary Club of Fredericksburg Rotarian of the Year Named
Debbie Sultemeier is the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg’s Rotarian of the Year for 2025. Ms. Sultemeier was President of the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg in 2022-23. She is currently the
Co-chair of the club’s International Projects Committee, where she has directed fundraising efforts
supporting water and sanitation initiatives in Tanzania. She has been a stalwart supporter of
numerous Rotary Club of Fredericksburg local projects and activities.
She also has been a mentor in local schools, served on multiple non-profit boards, and
helped organize the first Fredericksburg Book Festival. She currently volunteers with the Nature
Center, Zion Lutheran Church Council, and the American Red Cross – just to name a few. She has
been a Sunday School director, VBS helper, PTA officer, choir booster president, and a tireless
mentor for young adults aging out of foster care.
Before moving to Fredericksburg, she built a career in San Antonio working in housing
development and community revitalization – making a real difference in underserved
neighborhoods.
Whether she is mentoring students, building affordable housing, raising money for clean
water across the globe, she bring energy, grace and purpose to everything she does.
